Ravikumar, J.

The Travancore Devaswom Board (for short 'the TDB') filed the captioned DBA seeking permission to extend the period of contract of three Assistant Engineers, who are working in different Electrical Wings under the TDB for a further period of 179 days from 26.07.2020 in the existing terms and conditions.

Heard the learned Standing Counsel for the TDB and

also the learned Senior Government Pleader. We have carefully gone through the affidavit and in view of the ensuing Mandala Makaravilakku season, service of said officers are essential.

In the said circumstances, though there occurred some delay in the matter of moving the petition, we are inclined to allow the TDB to continue to engage the persons named Sri. Binu C.J., Sri. Dhanu S. Krishnan and Sri. Lenin Das S., as Assistant Engineers in the Electrical Wing of the TDB for a period of 179 days from 27.07.2020, in accordance with the existing terms and conditions.
