JUDGMENT
Petitioners are boat owners of Kollam and Azheekkal.
The grievance voiced by the petitioners in this writ petition is against the direction issued by the respondent insisting colour coding of their boats for renewing registration and licence enabling petitioners for operation of boats. According to petitioners, they came to known about such an order during June, 2016 from newspapers and therefore, there is practical difficulty for them to change the colour of the boats, immediately. Petitioners have pointed out that there are only three workshops in Kollam for painting boats and there are about 1500 boats in Kollam. Due to the heavy rush to change colour, consequent to the Government Order, petitioners could not
change colour as directed in the order. It is in this background seeking appropriate direction, this writ petition is filed.
