J U D G M E N T

The complaint of the petitioner is that she has not been granted the 'five marks' that are to be allotted to applicants from the Home District. This Court has considered a similar issue in the judgment dated 20.03.2014 in W.P.(C) No.37760 of 2010 and has held that the expression 'Home District' means the place of residence of a person, in relation to the area of operation of the society.

In view of the said decision, the petitioner is entitled to be granted the 'five grace marks' for being a candidate of the Home District.

In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of directing the Co-operative Service Examination Board to grant to the petitioner the benefit of the 'five grace marks' available to candidates from Home District. Accordingly, the rank list shall be published as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months from today.
