JUDGMENT

This Contempt Case is filed alleging that the respondent herein has willfully disobeyed Annexure 1 order passed by this Court under section 17B of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947. When the Contempt Case came up for admission hearing on 12.4.2012 this Court passed the following order:-

“Admit. Issue urgent notice returnable in ten days to respondents. If the direction issued by this Court in Annexure - 1 order is not complied with and an affidavit to that effect is not filed on or before 21.5.2012, the respondent shall appear in person at 10.15 am on 22.5.2012.”

The respondent has filed an affidavit dated 18.5.2012 stating inter

alia that he has effected payment of Rs.93,500/- by demand draft drawn on Dhanalakshmi Bank, Kuruppampady branch and that the said amount represents the wages payable for the period from 1.12.2010 to 30.4.2012. He has also undertaken to make monthly payments as ordered by this Court without fail. In such circumstances as the respondent has, though belatedly, complied

with Annexure 1 order passed under section 17B of the Industrial Disputes Act and has also undertaken to continue to pay monthly payments as ordered by this Court so long as the writ petition is pending, I am of the opinion that no further orders are called for in this Contempt Case.
