It is the contention of the petitioner that the Committee for regularization of unauthorized occupation considered the application filed by the petitioner's husband, late Sri.V.M.Bellachar and passed a resolution on 26.12.2003 resolving to grant 14 guntas of land in Sy.No.301 of Vidyaranyapura Village, Sringeri Taluk, to the petitioner's husband. However, till date, the saguvali chit has not been issued, and the name of the petitioner's husband was not entered in the revenue records. The prayer, therefore, is to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 03.11.2025 at Annexure-D given by the petitioner.

Having regard to the contentions raised by the petitioner, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Tahsildar, Sringeri Taluk, to verify from the records as to whether such an application was filed by the petitioner's husband and whether the Committee has passed a resolution on 26.12.2003 resolving to grant 14 guntas of land in favour of the petitioner's husband. If the said facts are true, then the Tahsildar shall inform the petitioner regarding the
