The petitioner is before this Court seeking for the

following reliefs;

a. "CALL for the records from the Respondents;

b. ISSUE A WRIT OR ORDER QUASHING the impugned show cause notice dated 04/07/2024 issued by the 2^nd Respondent bearing Letter Reference No. SCN/318407431/24 (Annexure-A) and CONSEQUENTLY DIRECT the 2^nd Respondent not to take any adverse action on the passport issued to the Petitioner bearing Passport No. Z7791328 (AnnexureE), until disposal of the Criminal Petition No. 2429/2022, Annexure-C to meet the ends of justice;

c. PASS any other appropriate Order as this Hon'ble Court deems fit under the facts and circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice and equity."

The impugned show cause notice dated 4.07.2024 has been issued by the respondent-Authorities to cancel the passport issued to the petitioner on the ground that a criminal case is pending before the Court in terms of Annexure-A.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that subsequent thereto, the petitioner has been acquitted in the proceedings which were pending, namely Special C.C. No.880/2018, by the FTC-I, Additional City Civil and Sessions Judge, Bangalore, vide order dated 20.09.2025. In that view of the matter, there is nothing much survives in the present proceedings in respect of the show cause notice dated 4.07.2024.

Reserving liberty to the respondents to initiate proceedings for issuance of another show cause notice if any other proceedings pending, the above petition stands disposed .
