1. Learned counsel for the petitioner Mr. Apoorv Singh is present.
2. Learned counsel for the respondent V. K. Dubey is also present.
3. The present writ petition has been filed for the following
reliefs: -
“i. For quashing of the order dated 8.4.2004 (Annex-13) issued under the signature of the respondent no. 2 whereby and whereunder the authorities have imposed punishment and reduced the pay scale of the petitioner to the next lower stage in the time scale of pay for a period of one year with cumulative effect.
ii. For quashing the order dated 6.7.04 (Annex-15) issued under the signature of chairman/SAIL being the Appellate Authority whereby and whereunder the Appellate Authority has refused to interfere with the order passed by the Disciplinary Authority and hence the appeal has been rejected.
iii. For the issuance of a wit order direction commanding upon the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion on the higher post and grant him promotion to E-7 grade i.e. to the grade of Deputy General manager with retrospective effect i.e. from 30.06.2003 on the ground that several juniors have been given promotion superseding the petitioner who was placed under suspension since 1.04.03 till 07.04.2004 and to release the difference of arrears of salary consequent upon the promotion on the higher post.

iv. For the issuance of an appropriate writ order direction commanding upon the respondents to pay the ex-gratia amount payable for the year 2003 which was held up due to the suspension but subsequently was approved by the Managing Director for payment vide order no. BSL/PERS/OD/W/6071/2004 dt. 15.09.2004 (Annex-16) and also to release the payment of salary of three days sanctioned casual leave ie for 15th , 16th July, 2003 and 1st November, 2003 during the period of suspension which has already been agreed to/approved for payment by the order of the Personnel Deptt. Vide no. BSL/PERS/OD/W6071/2004-1158 Dt. 24.06.2004 (Annex-17); to release the arrears of amount due against LTE (Local Travel Expenses), Incentive, Reward, Magazine allowance, entertainment allowance and canteen allowance etc. of the suspended period along with interest, for a direction to release the amount of interest on delayed balance payment of basic and dearness allowance, Provident Fund and Contributory provident Fund due to the petitioner for the period of suspension.

For the issuance of any other appropriate writ order direction for doing conscionable justice to the petitioner.”
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is no longer interested in pursuing the case and accordingly, the present writ petition be dismissed as not pressed.
5. Learned counsel for the respondent has no objection to the prayer made.
6. Considering the aforesaid submission, the present writ petition is dismissed as not pressed.
7. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
8. Pending interlocutory application, if any, is closed as not pressed.
