2. Heard Ms. Shalini Shahdeo, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents.

3. This writ petition has been filed for the following relief:

“For a direction upon the respondents to immediately and forthwith pay the arrears of salary to the petitioner for the following period for which the petitioner has worked but not been paid the salary:-

a. February, 2000

b. May, 2000 to October, 2000

¶22

c. March, 2001 to February, 2002”

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in spite of repeated representations having been made before the respondent no.2, the grievance of the petitioner has not been redressed and therefore, the petitioner has been compelled to file the present writ petition.

5. Learned counsel for the respondents submit that the writ petition itself can be disposed of by directing the respondent no.2 to look into the grievance of the petitioner.

6. After hearing the learned counsel for the parties and considering the facts and circumstances of this case, this writ petition is disposed of with a liberty to the petitioner to file a fresh representation along with a copy this order and a copy of the writ

petition with its annexures by 15.03.2022. Upon filing of the representation, the respondent no.2 is directed to pass a reasoned order on the claim of the petitioner after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and if anything is found payable, the same should be paid to the petitioner forthwith. The reasoned order should also be communicated to the petitioner at his e-mail id or the postal address, as may be provided in the representation itself, through speed post.

7. The respondent no.2 is directed to pass a reasoned order within a period of two months from the date of receipt of the aforesaid representation.

8. This writ petition is disposed of with the aforesaid observations and directions.
