Heard, Mr. Bhaskar Trivedi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Satyam Parmar, learned counsel for the State.
This petition has been heard through Video Conferencing in view of the guidelines of the High Court taking into account the situation arising due to COVID-19 pandemic. None of the parties have complained about any technical snag of audio-video and with their consent this matter has been heard.
This petition has been filed for direction upon the respondents to conduct investigation of the case bearing Doranda P.S. Case No. 298 of 2018 for the offence under section 420/406/34 of the Indian Penal Code.
It transpires that after lodging of the First Information Report , petitioner has not approached to the Superintendent of Police, Ranchi or Senior Superintendent of Police, Ranchi and directly approached to this Court for direction to conduct investigation of the case.
There is alternative remedy under Code of Criminal Procedure. Without entering into the merit of the case, this petition is being disposed of directing the petitioner to approach the respondent no. 2 who will look into the matter.
