The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Peterwar P.S. Case No.47 of 2019, corresponding to Session Trial Case No.136 of 2021 for the offence under Sections 498A, 324, 307 & 34 of the Indian Penal Code, pending in the Court of learned District & Sessions Judge-II, Bermo at Tenughat.

It is alleged that there was a demand of dowry by the accused persons and on non-fulfillment of demand, deceased was subjected to torture and was immolated after dousing her in kerosene oil.

It further appears that the deceased was carrying pregnancy from before her marriage with the petitioner. It was submitted that to avoid shame, she had committed suicide.

Similarly situated co-accused persons have been granted bail by a coordinate bench of this Court earlier.

Considering the facts of the case, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/-(Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned District & Sessions Judge-II, Bermo at Tenughat, in connection with Peterwar P.S. Case No.47 of 2019, corresponding to Sessions Trial Case No.136 of 2021.
