The matter was taken up through Video Conferencing. Learned counsel for the parties had no objection with it and submitted that the audio and video qualities are good.

Petitioners have been made accused in connection with Manatu P.S. Case No.10 of 2017, corresponding to NDPS Case No. 18D/2017 registered under Section 18 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 and Section 33 of the Indian Forest Act, pending in the Court of learned Special Judge under NDPS Act, Palamau.

It is alleged that opium was being cultivated at village Sikda by unknown person. The informant party went to the place of occurrence and destroyed the crop. It came to light, on the basis of confidential information that about 15-20 persons including the petitioners were cultivating opium on 10 acres of forest land. Similarly situated co-accused have been granted bail by a Co-ordinate Bench of this Court. Apart from the confidential information received by the informant there is no other material on record.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Twenty Thousand only) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge under NDPS Act, Palamau, in connection with Manatu P.S. Case No.10 of 2017, corresponding to NDPS Case No.18D/2017.
