The present application has been filed for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in connection with Seraikella P.S. Case No.119 of 2019, pending in the court of learned C.J.M., Seraikella.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is a low grade official and he is victim as his I.D. has been misused. The CCTV footage also suggest that he was not present at the time of transaction. The petitioner is languishing in custody since 08.06.2020. Hence, he deserves to be released on bail.
Counsel for the State has opposed the prayer for bail but he could not dispute the fact that the petitioner was absent at the time of transaction which was during unusual time i.e. before the opening hour of the bank.
Considering the material available on record and the fact that there is possibility of misuse of the petitioner’s I.D., the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail, on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Ten thousand only) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned C.J.M., Seraikella in connection with Seraikella P.S. Case No.119 of 2019, subject to condition that the petitioner will submit self-attested photocopy of his Aadhar Card and also submit his mobile number before the learned court below which he will always keep active and will not change it during pendency of this case without prior permission of the court.
