02/16.01.2020 Heard Mr. Rohan Mazumdar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Birendra Burman, learned A.P.P. for the State.
The petitioner is an accused in connection with Tisra (Alakdiha) P.S. Case No. 08 of 2016, corresponding to G.R. No. 1023 of 2016.
The marriage of the informant was solemnized with the petitioner in the year 2000. It has been alleged that there was regular torture and a demand of Rs. 50,000/- was also made. Ultimately she was ousted from her matrimonial house. It has also been alleged that the petitioner had solemnized a second marriage.
It appears that the petitioner was earlier granted anticipatory bail in A.B.A. No. 1281 of 2016 on a condition of deposit of Rs. 3000/- per month as ad interim maintenance. However the bail of the petitioner was cancelled on account of non-compliance of the said order. The petitioner appears to be in custody since 19.11.2019.
Regard being had to the period of custody, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Dhanbad in connection with Tisra (Alakdiha) P.S. Case No. 08 of 2016, corresponding to G.R. No. 1023 of 2016.
