Heard Mr. Deepankar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Srabani Sannyal, learned A.P.P for the State.
The petitioner is an accused in connection with Radhanagar P.S Case No. 82 of 2017, corresponding to G.R No. 627 of 2017(S) .
It has been alleged that 3-4 persons have been caught by the villagers on suspicion of being member of “Choti Katwa Giroh” and they were being assaulted. On such information he along with other officials reached at the place of occurrence and found that one lady and her son have been surrounded by the mob and both of them had sustained injuries. In trying to save them the police party was attacked by the mob.
It is stated that the allegation against the petitioner is general and omnibus in nature and other co-accused persons have been granted bail by a Bench of this Court as enumerated in paragraphs- 9 and 10 of the present application. The petitioners is in custody since 26.07.2019.
Regard being had to the above, the petitioner above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned J.M, 1st Class, Rajmahal in connection with Radhanagar P.S Case No. 82 of 2017, corresponding to G.R No. 627 of 2017(S).
