5/8.02.2018 Heard learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the State, who opposes the prayer for bail.
The petitioner is an accused for allegedly committing offence punishable under Sections 25(1-b)a/ 35 of the Arms Act.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the name of the petitioner transpires from the confessional statement of the coaccused. He further submits that one loaded country made pistol has been recovered from the railway side of Dugda Coal Washery. The petitioner is in custody since 09.04.2017.
In view of the aforesaid fact, petitioner, namely, Sanjay Singh @ Sanjay Kumar Singh is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional Sessions Judge, Ist, Bermo at Tenughat, in connection with Dugda, P.S. Case No. 13 of 2017, corresponding to G. R. No. 299 of 2017 (S.T. No. 268 of 2017), subject to the condition that the petitioner shall appear before the Officer-in-Charge, Dugda Police Station (District Bermo at Tenughat) once in a month and shall mark his attendance. If he fails to appear in any particular month, his bail bonds shall stand cancelled and the Officer-in-Charge would be at liberty to arrest the petitioner.
