Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner(s).
Learned A.P.P opposes the prayer for bail.
The petitioner is an accused for the offence under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code in connection with Karra P.S. Case No. 73/2016, corresponding to G.R. No. 356/2016 (ST No. 78/2017), pending in the court of learned Sessions Judge, Khunti.
The petitioner is the husband. The wife was found dead in the house of the petitioner and the death is unnatural. The witnesses have stated that on the previous night, the deceased was brutally assaulted by the petitioner and in the early morning, the deceased was found dead in the house.
Taking into consideration the aforesaid fact, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner namely, Sohrai Lohra, is rejected.
