Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner(s).

The petitioner is an accused for the offence under Sections 7 and 13(2) r/w Section 13(1)(d) of the P.C. Act.

It is alleged that from car of the petitioner, Rs.3,44,000/- was recovered, which was said to be bribe money given to the petitioner by the contractor.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 27.9.2017 and charge has already been framed in this case against the petitioner. He further submits that the petitioner has not been declared as an absconder and the petitioner undertakes that he will appear before the trial court on each and every date of trial.

Counsel for the CBI opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the petitioner had taken the bribe on the pretext of passing the bills of the contractor.

In view of the aforesaid facts of this case and since charge has been framed, I am inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, namely, Bijay Kumar Yadav is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Special Judge, CBI, Ranchi, in connection with R.C. Case No. 07(A)/2017-R with a condition that he will appear before the trial court on each and every date of trial, failing which, his bail bond shall be cancelled and necessary steps shall be taken for his re-arrest.
