Learned Addl. P.P. for the State opposes the prayer.
The petitioner is an accused in connection with Karra P.S. Case No. 56 of 2017, corresponding to G.R. No. 335 of 2017, for the offences punishable under sections 498(A)/326/307/34 and 304(B) of the Indian Penal Code.
The petitioner is the husband of the deceased. Death has taken place within 2 years of the marriage and the death was unnatural. Dying declaration also suggests that the death was unnatural.
In view of the aforesaid facts, I am not inclined to release the petitioner, namely, Asit Chatterjee, on bail. Accordingly, this application is dismissed.
