Inspite of service of notice nobody appeared on behalf of opposite party no.2. Reminder was also given but no one appeared. In absence of opposite party no.2 this case was taken up today.

Heard learned counsel for the parties. Learned A.P.P. opposes the prayer for bail.

The petitioner is an accused for allegedly committing an offence punishable under Sections 323, 498 (A) and 307 IPC .

There is general allegation against the petitioner of torturing and demanding dowry. Petitioner was in custody since 18.7.2017, till the date he was granted provisional bail by order dated 24.01.2018.

Taking into consideration the period of custody, I am inclined to allow this application. The provisional bail granted to the petitioner vide order dated 24.01.2018 in connection with Complaint Case No. 229 of 2016, pending in the court of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Daltonganj at Palamau is hereby made absolute.

This application stands allowed.
