2/10.05.2018 Heard learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the State, who opposes the prayer for bail.

The petitioner is an accused for allegedly committing offence punishable under Sections 147, 148, 149, 353, 307 of the Indian Penal Code, Section 25(1-b)a, 26, 27 of the Arms Act and Section 17 of C.L.A. Act.

It is a case of firing and cross-firing between the police and the miscreants. No one from the side of police personnel sustained any injury. The name of this petitioner transpired from the mouth of the villagers, who after the occurrence, stated that this petitioner and others were involved in the offence. The petitioner is in custody since 30.11.2017.

Taking into consideration the aforesaid fact, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, petitioner namely, Guddu Lohra @ Ranjeet Kumar Vishvkarma @ Ranjeet Mistri is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Sessions Judge, Latehar in S.T. No. 36 of 2018, arising out of Manika P.S. Case No. 42 of 2017 [G.R. No. 421/2017].
