The petitioner is an accused in connection with Lesliganj P.S. Case No. 62 of 2014, corresponding to G.R. No. 1362 of 2014, registered for the offence punishable under sections 354, 379, 504 of the Indian Penal Code and under section 3/4 of the Prevention of Atrocities Witch Craft (Dain) Act.

It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the the allegation of abusing the informant by calling her as Dain and subsequently assaulting her husband have been levelled against 7 other accused persons. It has further been submitted that there is no specific allegation against the petitioner, who is an old man. It has further been submitted that the petitioner is in custody since 03.07.2015.

Learned counsel for the State has opposed the prayer for bail and has submitted that the petitioner has been named in the first information report

Regard being had to the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/(Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Sri M. Kumar, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Palamau at Daltonganj, in connection with Lesliganj P.S. Case No. 62 of 2014, corresponding to G.R. No. 1362 of 2014.
