Syeda Begum Vs J and K Forest Development Corporation and Ors.

(i) A writ of the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents to release the family pension due to petitioner after the death of her husband, the original pensioner.

(ii) A writ of the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents to release Gratuity, Leave Salary, and arrears of pay as a result of treating period of suspension as on duty in terms of Government Instructions attached with Article 168-D of J&K Civil Services Regulations.

Respondents have filed their reply, wherein they have admitted the claim of the petitioner and stated that they have processed the case of petitioner for grant of compensation and other retiral benefits in favour of his wife.

With the consensus of learned counsel for the parties and in view of stand taken by the respondents, there would be no purpose achieved to keep this writ petition pending on board and the same is, accordingly, disposed of with a direction to the respondents to

complete the process for grant of compensation and other retiral benefits in favour of widow-petitioner herein within a period of two

months from the date copy of this order is served to them.
