Heard Mr. B. Sinha, learned counsel for the petitioners. Also heard Mr. A.I. Ali, learned standing counsel, Election Commission of India.
By this writ petition, the petitioners have put to challenge the order dated 19-032024, by which the petitioners were relieved from all election related works.
Mr. Ali, learned standing counsel, Election Commission of India has produced a copy of the order dated 29-03-2024, issued by the District Commissioner and District Election Commissioner, Cachar, Silchar, whereby the order dated 19-032024 has been treated as withheld for smooth conduct of the general election of Lok Sabha.
Mr. Sinha, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that in view of the order dated 29-03-2024, the matter has become infructuous.
Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of as infructuous.
The order dated 29-03-2024 is placed on record.
