Heard Mr. D. Medhi, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. K. K. Parasar, learned Addl. P.P., Assam, appearing on behalf of the sole respondent.

The present application has been instituted, praying for regular bail in connection with Jonai Police Station Case No. 74/2024 registered u/s. 331(4)/305/3(5) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

The petitioner was placed under arrest on 19.07.2024, in connection with the said case.

I have also perused the CD and also heard the learned counsel for the petitioner.

On a consideration of the matter and also considering the length of detention undergone by the petitioner, herein; it is hereby provided that the petitioner shall be released on regular bail in connection with Jonai Police Station Case No. 74/2024 registered u/s. 331(4)/305/3(5) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, on furnishing a bond of Rs. 20,000/- with a surety of like amount subject to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Dhemaji, on the following terms and conditions, that:

(i) The petitioner shall fully cooperate with the investigation of the case;

(ii) The petitioner shall not leave the territorial jurisdiction without obtaining prior permission of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Dhemaji; and (i)

¶20

(iii) The petitioner shall not directly or indirectly make any inducement, threat or promise to any person acquainted with the facts of the case so as to dissuade him/her from disclosing such facts to the Police Officer and/or tamper with the evidence of the case.

With the above directions and observations, this bail application stands disposed of.
