The petitioner has preferred the present application alleging non compliance and willful violation of the order dated 04.01.2016 passed by this Court in WP(C)/5520/2012 and order dated 18.05.2016 passed in WP(C)/1738/2014. The order dated 20.03.2017 passed in the present proceeding reflects that this matter was kept pending as the Union of India has already preferred SLP No. 3105/2015 before the Hon’ble Apex Court and the same was pending for adjudication before the Hon’ble Apex Court.
As per the office note 05.04.2022, the connected Civil Appeal arising out of the aforesaid SLP numbered as Civil Appeal No. 4585/2018 has already been disposed of by order dated 17.02.2022 by the Hon’ble Apex Court. Accordingly, the same is placed on record by the Registry. The said order of the Hon’ble Apex Court reflects that the appeal has been allowed and the judgment impugned has been set aside.
Accordingly nothing survives in the contempt petition. This contempt petition is closed.
