Heard Mr. A. Ahmed, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. D. Saikia, learned Advocate General, Assam, assisted by Mr. R. Mazumdar, learned Standing counsel, Education Department, and Mr. B. Deori, learned Government Advocate, appearing for the State respondents.
Mr. Ranjan Bora, Director of Pension, Assam, is present before this court, as requested. Mr. Alok Tamuli, the Treasury Officer, Morigaon, is also present as per order dated 09.09.2022.
Mr. D. Saikia, learned Advocate General, has intervened in the matter at the request of this court.
Upon instructions, learned Advocate General states that the issue will be resolved within a period of one month.
The respondents are granted time to comply with the order dated 24.11.2020, passed in WA No. 178/2020, latest by 15.10.2022.
As the compliance is assured, the Contempt Petition is disposed of at this stage
