N v Chowdary versus Union Bank of India

Learned Counsel for the Respondent submits that time may be granted for filing the opposition on the ground that the Bank officers have not contacted the Learned Counsel. It is a serious issue. On the last date i.e. on 11.04.2023 time was sought by the Respondent and time was granted till today.

It appears that the Bank officers are not taking interest in the matter due to the reasons best known to them. It appears that for oblique purposes Bank officers are not filing the opposition. Let the Zonal Manager of the Respondent should file his personal affidavit stating about the reasons as to why Affidavit in opposition is not filed. If the affidavit is not filed on the next date fixed, then he should appear in person.

List on 10^th August, 2023. If on the date fixed the affidavit of Zonal Manger along with opposition is not filed, the matter shall be heard on merits and will be disposed of in accordance with law.

Registry is directed to send a copy of this order to the Chairman and Managing Director of the Union Bank of India by tomorrow.
