By the way of the present petitions, the petitioners are seeking quashing of FIR No. 24/2022, registered at Police Station Barakhamba Road, Delhi, for the offences punishable under Sections 420/406/34 of the Indian Penal Code,1860 (hereinafter referred to as the ‘IPC’ ), and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom on the basis of the settlement arrived at between the parties.

Issue notice. The learned APP accepts notice on behalf of the State.

The petitioners and respondents no. 2 are present before this Court and have been identified by their counsel and Investigating Officer.

The dispute between the parties arose out of a business transaction. During the pendency of the proceedings, the parties amicably resolved their disputes through the Delhi High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre and executed a Settlement Agreement dated 04.08.2025.

Counsel for the petitioners submits that the parties have amicably settled their disputes in terms of the Settlement Agreement and that all the agreed payments have been made. Learned counsel appearing for the complainant confirms that the complainant has received the entire settled amount and has no outstanding claim against the petitioner.

conditions of the settlement stand fully complied with and nothing further remains to be paid by either party under the settlement.

On a query made by this Court, respondent no. 2 who appears through Video Conferencing, has been identified by the IO, has categorically stated that he has entered into compromise, vide Settlement Agreement dated 04.08.2025 out of his own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. Therefore, he has no objection if the present FIR is quashed.

In view of the above, that the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will, and without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question.

Accordingly, FIR No. 24/2022 , registered at Police Station Barakhamba Road, Delhi, for the offences punishable under Sections 420/406/34 of the IPC along with all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom, is hereby quashed.

The present petition is disposed of.

Pending application(s), if any, also stand(s) disposed of.
