This present bail application has been filed under Section 482 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (hereinafter referred to as ‘BNSS’) for anticipatory bail in FIR No. 0413/2025 for the offences punishable under Sections 419/420/468/471/120-B/34 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereinafter referred to as the ‘IPC ’) registered at Police Station -Dwarka South.

Learned counsel for the Applicant submits that the incident pertains to the year 2019 and that the main co-accused, Amit, is the Applicant’s cousin. He submits that while the Applicant was preparing for his competitive examinations, the co-accused obtained the Applicant’'s bank account details. petitioner's account was transferred on the very same day to the account of the co-accused, Amit.

Learned counsel for the Applicant submits that the applicant has duly joined the investigation.

He further submits that the Applicant is a government servant working as a Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) at Guwahati Airport. 7. Learned APP for the State submits that the co-accused, along with others, used to impersonate IAS officers and cheated not only the complainant but several other persons as well. She further submits that an amount of ₹20 lakhs was credited to the account of the Applicant and that custodial interrogation is necessary to unearth the larger conspiracy. 8. Learned counsel for the complainant submits that the FIR specifically names the Applicant and that the complainant has categorically mentioned the petitioner's name in the FIR. He further submits that although charges are yet to be framed, the chargesheet has already been filed. 9. Heard and perused the record. 10. The FIR in the present case specifically names the Applicant. It is also an admitted position that a part of the cheated amount was credited to the account of the petitioner. In these circumstances, the allegations prima facie disclose his involvement in the alleged conspiracy. Custodial interrogation of the petitioner is, therefore, necessary.

Accordingly, the present application is dismissed. Pending applications, if any, also stand dismissed. 12. The order be uploaded on the website forthwith.
