This is a contempt petition filed under Sections 10 and 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 read with Article 215 of the Constitution of India seeking the following reliefs :-

“a. issue notice to the Contemnors calling upon them as to why the contempt proceedings shall not be initiated against them for having willfully & deliberately disobeying the Order dated 29.05.2026 passed by this Hon’ble Court in aforesaid Writ Petition (C) No.7746/2026; and

b. issue notice to the Contemnors directing them to comply

This Court vide order dated 29.05.2026 passed in W.P.(C) 7746/2026, in its paragraph No. 23, has issued the following directions:

“23. For the said reasons, till the next date of hearing, the effect and operation of letter dated 30.04.2026 (Annexure P- 1) shall remain stayed and consequently, the respondent/DGT shall permit admissions in the 3rd shift units for the Academic Session 2026-2027.”

It is stated by Mr. Sehrawat, learned senior counsel for the petitioner that since permission for admissions in the third shift of the academic session 2026-27 was not granted in violation of order of this Court, the present contempt petition has been filed.

Mr. Bansal, learned CGSC on instructions of Mr. Kumar, Deputy Director of Directorate General of Training, states that the respondents are in the process of verifying the data, the admission requests for third shift will be analysed and depending upon the eligibility, will be released soon and well in time to take admissions.

In view of the aforesaid statement, Mr. Sehrawat, learned senior counsel does not press the present contempt petition and the same is disposed of, granting liberty to revive in case any further cause of action arises.
