The issue in the present petition pertains to the grant of extraordinary pension in favour of the petitioner with effect from 01^st April, 2022, along with arrears and interest.

Learned counsel for the respondents state that a counter-affidavit has been placed on record, along with which the Sanction order dated 08^th June, 2026, has been produced.

It is further submitted that 75% of the extraordinary pension has been sanctioned in favour of the petitioner with effect from 31^st March, 2022.

appropriate to grant interest at the rate of 6% on the pension due and payable to the petitioner, from the date the same was due i.e., 31^st March, 2022, till actual payment is made to the petitioner.
