Petition under Article 226 of Constitution of India read with Section 528 BNSS has been filed on behalf of the Petitioners seeking protection to their life and liberty from Respondent Nos.3 and 4.

Brief facts are that Petitioner No.1 got acquainted with Petitioner No.2 through Facebook and thereafter love blossomed between them. Father of Petitioner No.1 (Resopndent No.4 herein) intended to get her married to her uncle ( Khalu ), who was aged, to which she was not agreeable. She thus refused to marry with her uncle, on which, her parents gave her beatings. She ran away from her house on 19.05.2025, since her parents were pressurizing her to marry against her will and choice.

She came to Delhi by Train on 21.05.2025. Petitioner No.2 joined her in Delhi and they have been living together since then. Petitioner No.1 has

also informed her parents that she wanted to leave Islam and adopt Hindu Religion. Parents of Petitioner No.1 are making continuous threats to both the Petitioners. It has been informed that an FIR has been registered in Assam on the allegations that she ran away from the house after stealing jewelry and cash.

It is also asserted that parents of Petitioner No.1 have good Political approach as well as in Assam Police. Respondent No.4 (father of Petitioner No.1) also threatened that he would kill both the Petitioners, as Petitioner

No.2 belongs to Hindu Religion. It is therefore, submitted that protection to their life and liberty be granted.

Learned APP for the State submits that requisite directions may be passed for the protection of life and liberty of both the Petitioners.

In view of the submissions made, the mobile numbers of beat Constable and SHO, PS: concerned be provided to the Petitioners and also regular visits be made by the beat Constable to ensure safety and security of the Petitioners.
