The present petition has been filed by the petitioner raising a grievance as regards the problem of over-flowing sewers, blocked/choked sewers in the areas of Arya Nagar Bagh Raoji, Manakpura, Shidipura and Doriwalan in Central Delhi.

Learned counsel for the respondent, who appears on advance notice, submits that appropriate action has been taken to clean the sewers to address the problem of over-flow/blockage.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the problem of overflowing/choked sewers is a repeated occurrence and that the respondent must take steps to find a permanent solution to the problem instead of taking temporary measures.
