Heard.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a retired employee, who retired from services on 30.04.2018. However, a departmental enquiry is pending against the petitioner since 2014, but the same has not been concluded. He prays that petition may be

disposed of directing the concerned inquiry officer to conclude the enquiry proceedings within a specific period as fixed by this Court.

Learned State counsel submits that if this Court directs, the inquiry will be concluded within 04 months, if already not concluded.

On the basis of said submissions made by both the counsel, without going into the merits of the case, the petition is disposed of directing the concerned inquiry officer to conclude the departmental enquiry proceedings pending against the petitioner within an outer limit of 04 months from the date of receipt of copy of this order in accordance with the relevant rules and law, if already not decided.

With the aforesaid observations and directions, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
