Today, at 2.30 p.m., we have interacted with allegedly detained girl namely, Kusum Bano through Video Conferencing from the Court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Degana, District Nagaur, Rajasthan, in presence of concerned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Shri.Madan Balotiya. Prior to interaction, we instructed learned Magistrate that no one shall remain present in the concerned room, while interacting with the girl. On which, Shri.Madan Balotiya has stated that except the Court staff and the girl, no other family member is allowed to enter in the room. After ensuring the things, we have interacted with the girl Kusum Bano. While we were interacting with the girl Kusum Bano on the video conferencing, both the learned counsel as well as the petitioner was also present in the Court hall and watched the entire process.

She has categorically stated that she is staying with her parents and desires to continue to reside with them. She stated that she has not been pressurized by anybody, nor kept under confinement.

In view of above statement, nothing survives in habeas corpus petition as there is no illegal detention of girl. The petition carries no merits. Hence, the Writ Petition stands disposed of.
