Office Notes, Office Memoranda of Coram, Court's or Judge's orders appearances, Court's orders of directions and Registrar's orders
Shri R.G. Kavimandan, Advocate for petitioner Shri T.R. Kankale, AGP for respondent no.1
CORAM : SMT. VASANTI A. NAIK AND A.M. BADAR, JJ. DATE : 27.03.2015
By this public interest litigation, the petitioner challenges the action of the respondent no.2 in seeking copying charges for providing certified copies of the orders passed under the Bombay Tenancy and Agricultural Lands (Vidarbha Region) Act, 1958.
The respondent no.2 has filed an affidavit-in-reply and it is stated therein that the provisions of the Bombay Tenancy and Agricultural Lands (Vidarbha Region) Bombay Revenue Tribunal Procedure Rules, 1959 are applicable and the office would follow the procedure as contemplated under the Rules and would not seek copying charges for providing certified copies of final orders.
In view of the statement made in the affidavit-in-reply, the purpose of filing the public interest litigation stands served. The Public Interest Litigation is, therefore, disposed of with no order as to costs.
