ORDER :
1]Learned Assistant Solicitor General appearing for
the Union of India informs that there is a change in
policy in respect of release of sugar for sale in the
open market and the restrictions imposed by the Central
Government have been removed.
2]In view of the change in policy, as informed by the
learned Assistant Solicitor General, nothing survives for
consideration in these writ petitions. The petitions
stand disposed of accordingly. All pending civil
applications in these petitions are also disposed of.
