The petitioners–students, studying in Degree course of B.V.Sc. & A.H. in the College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Parbhani, were suspended under the provisions of section (6)1 of Maharashtra Prohibition of Ragging Act, 1999 by an order dated 10^th May 2012 passed by the Associate Dean, College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Parbhani, from residing in the hostel, attending the classes and appearing in the examinations of degree courses.

The learned counsel for the petitioners submit that, by an application dated 10^th August 2012 signed by the petitioners, addressed to the Associate Dean of the College, the petitioners have expressed their apology and requested for revocation of the suspension order so that their educational career would be saved.

The learned counsel Shri. A.S. Deshpande appearing for the respondents No.1 and 2 submits that the Associate Dean shall forward the representation dated 10^th August 2012 submitted by the petitioners to the Registrar of the respondent–University.

In the facts of the case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, we direct the Registrar, Maharashtra Animal & Fish Sciences, Nagpur to pass appropriate orders on the representation in respect of period of suspension of these students within two weeks.

The writ petition is disposed of. Authenticated copy of the order be provided to the requesting parties. The parties to act on the authenticated copy of the order.
