On a reading of the prayer clauses, it appears that the cause for filing this writ petition has been rendered infructuous due to passage of time as by the said prayer clauses the petitioner had sought permission to retire voluntarily with effect from 31.5.2006 and the petitioner has attained the age of superannuation during the pendency of the writ petition. Hence, the writ petition is disposed of with no order as to costs.
