In response to the notice issued by this Court on 9 March 2012, respondent No.3 appears through Mr. V.P. Patil. Learned Counsel Mr. Patil appearing for respondent No.3 Association on instructions from Mr. Anil Garg states that the respondent No.3 Association has already withdrawn the call for strike. Mr. Patil, however, submits that there are certain issues which may be considered by the State Government pursuant to the representations made by the Association on 17 December 2011 and subsequent representations.

Mr. Mattos, the learned A.G.P., states that before taking final decision on the recommendations made by the Technical Committee, the State Government will take into consideration the representation which may be made by respondent No.3 Association within two weeks from today.

Mr. Patil for respondent No.3 Association on instructions from Mr. Anil Garg further states that having regard to the fact that their members are plying the buses for the benefit of school going children, respondent No.3 Association will not give any call for strike.

In view of the above statements, we dispose of this PIL with an observation that if respondent No.3 Association makes a representation to the State Government regarding the recommendations of the Technical Committee, the State Government will take such representation into account before taking any final decision in the matter and after giving an opportunity of personal hearing to one representative of respondent No.3.

It is expected that the State Government will take a decision in the matter by 15 May 2012 so that in case the bus owners are required to make any modification in their buses, they will get about one month's time before commencement of the next academic year.
