Heard learned counsel for the parties.

Learned counsel for the petitioners does not press this writ petition and seeks liberty to the petitioners to make representation for seeking rental compensation along with interest. The petition is disposed of as not pressed with liberty as prayed.

If the petitioners make representation, as aforementioned, within a period of two weeks from today, same may be considered and decided by the concerned Special Land Acquisition Officer, as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of six months from the date of the representation. It is open to the petitioners to rely upon the judgment of this Court dated 24.7.202008 in Dinkar Sandipan Gholve and others Vs. The State of Maharashtra and others in Writ Petition No.2559 of 2008 or any other such judgment of this Court or of the Supreme Court in support of their claim. We hope and trust that the Special Land Acquisition Officer shall deal with the representation made by the petitioners in the light of the judgments that will be cited before him. We observe that the Special Land Acquisition Officer while deciding the representation of the petitioners, will issue

Learned counsel for the petitioners undertake to pay deficit court fee, if any, within a period of two weeks from today. His undertaking is accepted. If the petitioners fail to deposit the deficit court fee within the stipulated time, Registry is directed not to issue either certified or authenticated copy of this order to the petitioners.
