The learned Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent who was issued notice in the matter yesterday and was required to take necessary instructions, states that he has instructions to inform the Court from S.P., South Goa that in case the petitioner informs the office of the S.P.,South Goa about the date of hearing on which he has to attend the Court at Margaon, necessary steps will have to be taken to provide required protection to the witness, provided that the petitioner shall give all the necessary details about the date and the timing of the Court appearance. The learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner states that the petitioner would give necessary details to the office of the S.P.,South Goa well in advance.
Considering the statement made on behalf of the S.P.,South Goa, Margaon, I don't find any case having been made for transfer of the proceedings from South Goa to North Goa. Being so, while accepting the statement on behalf of the S.P.,South Goa, Margaon, the petition is rejected.
