2. The learned counsel for the petitioners
submits that he has no instruction in the matter.
That may be so, as it is a Public Interest
Litigation and this court has taken cognisance of

the same. We proceed to dispose of this petition.
3. We have gone through the pleadings of the
respective parties. It appears that the police has
also taken cognisance of the matter and have
registered offences in cases where they have found
that the cognisable offences have been committed.
In so far as the grievance of the petitioners is
concerned, it had been made clear by the Tripura
Government that there has been no manipulation done
in the matter and the persons who have succeeded,
have been awarded the price which is a lottery
sponsored by the Tripura Government of which the
respondents have been franchisees.
4. In view of the fact that the police has
taken cognisance of the complaint, this court does
not feel it necessary to pursue the matter further
and dismiss the same as infructuous.
