We have heard the learned counsel for the parties
and gone through the affidavits filed on behalf of the respondents. The only grievance of the petitioner is that by the water supply scheme that has been evolved by the Government, the petitioner's village and the surrounding area is not getting full supply of drinking water. The petitioner has pointed out that despite the fact that several letters had been addressed to respondent Nos. 2 and 4 pointing out the difficulties faced by the petitioner and others, no response has been forthcoming. As the issue raised is one of public health requiring immediate consideration, we direct that the Senior most Officer of the respondent No.4 department shall look into
the grievance of the petitioner raised in the petition and take a decision, which is fair to all within a period of 3 months from today. All issues raised in this petition are kept open for further consideration by this Court, should the need arise.
Petition is disposed of with the above directions.
