. Heard Counsel for the parties. Perused
the record. I see no reason to depart from the
conclusion reached by the Court below in
rejecting the bail application in the fact
situation of the present case. The material on
record clearly establishes the manner in which
the Applicant deceived Vilas Ramchandra Desai and
succeeded in persuading him to give his daughter

to the Applicant in marriage by making
representation that he was police officer.
Besides, the Applicant succeeded in persuading
the said Mr. Desai to part with the sum of Rs.
3 lakhs by cheque, which has been encashed by the
Applicant. Taking overall view of the matter, as
there is sufficient material to indicate the
complicity of the Applicant in the commission of
the offence, and having regard to the seriousness
of the offence, not a case for bail. Hence, this
application is rejected.
. As prayer for bail is rejected, the trial
Court is directed to expeditiously dispose of the
trial as High Court Expedited Case preferably
within four months from the receipt of writ of
this Court.
