ORDER:-

The grievance of the writ petitioner is that on his report, a case in Crime No.30 of 2021 was registered by Sarpavaram police on 15.01.2021 and that the Investigating Officer did not complete the investigation till now and did not file the final report.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home.

It appears that the deceased in this case committed suicide. Therefore, the petitioner has lodged a report with the police on 15.01.2021 regarding the said suicide of the deceased. The same was registered as a case in Crime No.30 of 2021 under Section 174 Cr.P.C on the same day i.e., 15.01.2021. However, the investigation in this case is not completed in this case and no final report was filed.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on instructions, would submit that entire investigation in this case is now completed and only RFSL report is awaited and that the Investigating Officer would file the final report after receiving the report. The said explanation offered is not satisfactory. When the crime was registered long back in the month of January, 2021, it is beyond the comprehension of this Court as to how the Investigating Officer failed to file the final report till now even after lapse of seven months period.

Therefore, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the Investigating Officer to file the final report on or before 30.07.2021.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any pending, in this Writ Petition, shall stand closed.
