ORDER :
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for Income Tax Department appearing for the respondents.
The petition is filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of respondents 2 to 5 in not finalising the appointment of the petitioner on compassionate grounds.
Learned Standing Counsel for the respondents files her counter affidavit. In the counter affidavit, it is mentioned that all the applications for appointments on compassionate grounds are pending before a Committee, which has been constituted to take a decision on the issue. In paragraph No.6, it is clearly mentioned that the Committee is on the verge of finalisation of the recommendations of the eligible applicants for appointment on compassionate grounds.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that a direction may be issued to the respondents to finalise the case of the petitioner on the basis of recommendations of the Committee.
The respondents are, therefore, directed to place a copy of the order that is passed before the said Committee. The Committee is free to give its recommendations according to the law and the applicable rules and regulations, however, the

process should be completed within a period of six (6) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
