Allahabad High Court (Lucknow Bench), Ajay Bhanot, J. (3 September 2025) - Application U/S 482 No. 7121 of 2025, Samarbahadur @ Samarbahadur Verma and another v. State of U.P. and another: The learned A.G.A. pointed out that the applicants were identified as principal offenders who had assaulted the victim, with a medical report corroborating the prosecution case; faced with this, counsel for the applicants submitted she did not wish to press the prayer sought in the application. The prayer was declined. Recasting the relief, counsel sought leave for the applicants to approach the learned trial court for an interim bail/bail application to be processed expeditiously and as per law, to which the learned A.G.A. raised no serious objection. Learned A.G.A. submits that the applicants have been identified as the principal offenders who had assaulted the victim. There is a medical report in the record which corroborates the prosecution case. Prima facie, the ingredients of the offence are satisfied in the facts and circumstances of this case.

Faced with this, Ms. Prashansa Singh, learned counsel for the applicants submits that she does not wish to press the prayer sought in the application.

The prayer sought in the application is accordingly declined.

Learned counsel for the applicants recasts her relief and submits that the applicants may be permitted to approach the learned trial court for interim bail application/bail application which may be processed expeditiously and as per law.

Shri Anurag Verma, learned A.G.A. does not have any serious objection to the aforesaid prayer.

In wake of the preceding submissions, interest of justice will be served by disposing of the application with the following directions:
