Heard Sri Shiv Shankar Singh, learned counsel for the petitioners and Sri Abhishek Shukla, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel appearing for the State-respondents.
The present petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent-authorities to take necessary action for grant of lease for pisciculture to the petitioners in accordance with the procedure under the U.P. Revenue Code, 2006.
Counsel for the State-respondents submits that pursuant to the previous order, instructions dated 17.07.2024 have been received from the respondent no.3- Sub Divisional Magistrate, Meja, District Prayagraj, wherein it is stated that subsequent to the auction held on 26.10.2023, the applicants, who were found eligible, have been granted lease for the purpose.
It is submitted that in view of the aforestated developments, the petitioners would have no cause for maintaining the present petition.
Counsel for the petitioners has not disputed the aforestated factual and legal position.
Accordingly, learned counsel states that no cause of action survives and the petitioners do not wish to pursue the matter any further.
The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
