This writ petition has been filed with the following prayer:-

"a) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the Superintendent, Post Office, Ghazipur Mandal, Ghazipur to provide the benefit of revised pay scale to the petitioner w.e.f., 10.10.1997 to 2008 along with interest as per Office Memorandum dated 23.05.2018 and include his training period in his service period;

b) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the Superintendent, Post Office, Ghazipur Mandal, Ghazipur-respondent no. 4 to consider and decide the representation of petitioner dated 05.02.2024."

It is contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner after attaining the age of superannuation had retired from the post of Postman in the year 2008. He claims his revised pay scale from 10.10.1997 to 2008 along with interest. Ventilating his grievance, the petitioner has moved a representation on 005.02.2024 before respondent no. 4, which is pending consideration.

As no useful purpose would be served in keeping the matter pending, the writ petition is being disposed of, at the admission stage, without calling for counter affidavit or issuing notice to private respondents, with a direction upon respondent no. 4-

Superintendent, Post Office Ghazipur Mandal, Ghazipur to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 05.02.2024 and decide the same, in accordance with law expeditiously preferably within a period of three months from the date of production of certified copy of this order.

With the aforesaid direction, present writ petition stands disposed of.

It is made clear that this Court has not adjudicated the case on merit.
